Updates to Support SOP 50 10 8

As of June 1, the SBA’s updated SOP 50 10 8 is live. Lenders Cooperative’s Integrated Lending Platform has already been updated to support the latest requirements—enabling lenders to stay compliant while maintaining operational momentum.

Borrower application will now include a check against the SBA Franchise Directory. If a match is found, a Referral Flag will be triggered for lender review.

CAIVRS checks will be required for all SBA loans within the LOS.

The “score and go” model is now limited to loans ≤$350K. Loans >$350K will require full financial spreading. The spreading task will be enabled for these loan sizes.

The minimum required score has increased to 165 for both Express and 7(a) loans. This may impact prequalification (if applicable) and pricing/decisioning logic.

For 7(a) loans over $50K, at least one form of collateral must be entered before proceeding. A system validation will enforce this. (Express loans are exempt.)

Now mandatory for 7(a) loans >$50K. The “Is insurance required?” field will be restricted based on loan size within the collateral task. (Express loans are exempt.)

Required for all SBA 7(a) loans over $50K. The transcript task will now appear in the workflow for these loans.

The platform can now collect 100% ownership at the borrower application stage via configuration. Lenders are responsible for validating that 100% of ownership is eligible. Please let us know if you’d like to increase your configured ownership capture requirement within the borrower application
